It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Residents and members of Notes of Joy could definitely feel the holiday spirit that filled the air today at the Benton House.

The holidays are fast approaching, and we are so glad that we were able to spread some more holiday cheer with our friends at the Benton House today.

Music is so powerful in that it evokes emotions and memories associated with certain melodies. As we played, I could feel the warmth of a fireplace and hear the sound of jingle bells.

From my conversations with the senior residents, I could tell that my friends at the Benton House had similar reactions.

Here are some photos from today:

Garrett, a former Notes of Joy member and a current freshman at the University of Georgia, returned home for winter break and wanted to join us today to perform for the residents at the Benton House!  Thanks Garrett! So great to see you! (Gabby's really excited too!)

Notes of Joy wishes you a WONDERFUL holiday season!
We cannot wait for our next performance in January!

A Winter Wonderland

Walking in a winter wonderland....
Well... Not quite.
But pretty close.

So maybe there wasn't any snow, and it was 55 degrees out, and there was plenty of sunshine...
BUT Santa hats, Christmas lights, holiday tunes, and warm welcomes were all there today at the Sunrise of Johns Creek...
Basically... a winter wonderland.

Today marked the first holiday performance of the 2013-2014 Notes of Joy season! (yay!)

It was so heartwarming to hear our friends at Sunrise singing along to the Christmas carols that we performed.

Here are some pictures from today:

{The Christmas lights accidentally fell on Carson, and Bill was able to capture the moment!}

We are missing several Notes of Joy members in this picture (they had to leave a little earlier), but we wish you a happy, warm holiday!!
