Back to Ivy Hall!

We got to perform at the Ivy Hall Senior Living Home yesterday, and it was the first time we visited them in a while. It was great to go back and perform for a group of very fun and welcoming residents. Our program started just as many of the residents were finishing their lunches, so we had a lot of residents join us as the performance went on. We even got to play a special encore for those who arrived later and wanted to hear more from us! We were glad to do so, and we grabbed some classic songs out of our repertoire: Canon in D and the birthday song. We even had a particular resident who danced during Arkansas Traveler and sang during America the Beautiful and Over the Rainbow. Oh, and a special shout-out to those who came out of their rooms upstairs, and listened to us from the second floor! It was great to see the residents having fun and enjoying our performance! :)

Mariana, Annie, and Felipe grab a selfie with a few residents! Even in the older generation, girls love taking pictures more than guys. :P

We'll be back at the Sunrise Home next week, 10/4 at 2PM! We're so excited to go back, and we're looking forward to playing a new program for them!

Benton House!

We went to the Benton House today for our 2nd performance of the season! We always love visiting this home, and it was so great to see familiar faces again as well as meeting some new residents! Talking with the residents was great, as always, and it was wonderful to catch up with friends and get to know new ones. We'll be back to the Benton House on October 18th. :)

Until next time,

First Performance of the 2014-2015 Season!

We are so excited to finally get back into the Notes of Joy season for this upcoming year! We had our very first performance at the Sunrise of Johns Creek, and it was an exciting day for both us and the residents.
This year, we have lots of new friends joining Notes of Joy, and I’m so thrilled to see them share their talents throughout the community and spread their love for music!
As always, it was so great to see so many familiar as well as new faces at the Sunrise of Johns Creek.

We had a warm welcome from the senior citizens, and without fail, they brought smiles to our faces with their thoughtful compliments and joy for our music.

Setting up!

For this performance, we featured Joey Park and Pablo Gomez, who performed two saxophone duet pieces!

George welcomes everyone back into the NOJ season!
After our performance, we all had a chance to speak with the senior citizens!
Everyone having a good time!
Meeting new friends J

Our next performance will be at the Benton House on Saturday, September 20, at 3:00 PM!
See you all very soon!
