At the Benton House...
Sunshine and beautiful weather weren't the only things that brightened our day today...
We are thrilled to have finally officially restarted the Notes of Joy season for this upcoming year!
With our first rehearsal only a few weeks ago, we all anticipated this day and were ready to perform for the senior citizens at the Benton House.
As always, it was so rewarding to see so many familiar and new faces in the audience.
Although many factors, such as the supportive audience and joy from music, remained the same, this first performance felt slightly different from the ones last year.
First of all, we added several fun, new pieces to our repertoire this year, such as "Cancion del Amor," "Bluegrass Country," and "Arkansas Traveler."
Secondly, the composition of the ensemble was different. Although we said goodbye to many of our beloved members who graduated last year, it was so exciting to perform together with a new group.
From the picture above, you may be able to recognize a few familiar faces, but others not.
I am so excited about our new members, and I can already tell that they are equally thrilled to serve the community using their passion and talents!
The senior citizens appreciate their company so much, and I can't wait for our new members to experience this mutual feeling of joy throughout the year with more performances and interactions.
Because we did not have any parents who could take pictures for us during our time at the Benton House, we were unable to take as many pictures of everything in action, but we are still thankful for the shots that we were able to capture!
